За датата 23 Септември 1947г. ,когато беше убит Никола Петков,говоря.На тази дата нито една медия не отдели време да я отбележи.Нека не се чудим ,защо днес България е в това състояние- на постоянна криза и недоимък,след като знаем ,че днешното общество,не зачита миналото си, в което се крият корените на злото,раззяждащи милата ни Родина.
            С убийството на Никола Петков- лидер на обединената демократична опозиция,се слага нова ера в развитието на държавата .Политическите убийства на неговите последователи е факт,но това е една брънка от унищожаването на многопартийната парламентарна република и налагането на еднопартийният тоталитарен режим,който нанася непоправими икономически увреждания на държавата.Икономиката ни от частно -собственическа се превръща в държавна- управлявана от една партийна каста.Тежките и насилственно налагани промени в собствеността,променят структурата на икономическото устройство в държавата.Днес мълчеливото подминаване на тази дата означава,че ние не искаме да погледнем в този исторически период,който България от страна с европейско развити структури на земеделие и промишленост- създадени по законите на пазарната икономика, се превръща в страна с държавно тоталитарна икономика и болшевишко земеделие.Всеки политик претендиращ за водач в политиката трябва добре да е запознат с тези промени настъпили след 23 Септември 1947г..Това не е дата за панихида на лидерът на земеделците,а това е дата на заробването на българският народ и превръщането му в наемен работник на една партия.След тази дата не е настъпило ерата на политическите убийства само ,но е настъпило и икономическото заробване на българският народ,на който му е отнета частната собственост и той е превърнат в наемен работник, а парите от неговият труд,се събират в централната държавна банка,от там те се разпределят на целият български народ, и то така се разпределят,че да охранват партийната каста и техните наследници.Днес за тази дата мълчат -адвокатското съсловие,журналистическото съсловие,към което е принадлежал Никола Петков,но колкото и да прозвучи  жалко, мълчат и тези наследници на партийте от тогавашната демократична опозиция,а също така и не споменават и дума за него -тези заради които той даде живота си и, заради които той водеше жестока битка в парламента и в печата-Частните собственици на България,които със неговата смърт загубиха своята опора и защита ,и загубиха и своята частна собственост, и своите семейства,като се разпръснаха ,за да се прехранват, кой както може- поединично.Мълчете господа!Мълчете не признавайте мъчениците си,но не забравяйте,че още много дълъг път ни предстои,докато се докажем,че сме достоен народ, за уважение и почит!

Роден е в София. Баща му – Димитър Петков (министър-председател 1906-1907 г.), и брат му – левият земеделец Петко Д. Петков, стават жертви на политическия терор. Н. Петков завършва право в Париж. Член на БЗНС от 1923 г., а от 1938 г. минава към БЗНС “Пладне”. През 1943 г. се включва в Националния комитет на Отечествения фронт и сътрудничи на комунистите в антихитлеристката съпротива, но е против въоръжената й форма. Става министър без портфейл в първия ОФ кабинет. През януари 1945 г. е избран за главен секретар на БЗНС на мястото на Г. М. Димитров. Депутат в 6-ото ВНС. Борбата му за запазване на парламентарната демокрация е обявена от комунистите за контрареволюционна дейност и през лятото на 1947 г. е осъден на смърт в режисиран политически процес. Въпреки протестите на западната общественост той е обесен на 23 септември 1947 г. Реабилитиран посмъртно на 15 януари 1990 г."

На 26 август 1947 г. опозиционният БЗНС е забранен. Ликвидирането на другите противници на БРП (к) вече е само въпрос на време.
